The International Staff Week "Future-Ready Universities. Navigating Challenges in International Mobility and Research" will take place in Erasmus+ BIP format in collaboration with the University of Twente and the Autonomous University of Barcelona, with virtual activities on 28th and 29th April 2026 and the on campus part from 11th to 15th May 2026. The accelerated pace of change requires universities to have strong leadership and effective strategies in order to remain relevant and resilient. Higher education institutions around the world are facing complex and multidimensional transformations at the geopolitical, economic and demographic level that involve both risks and opportunities. The Staff Week adopts a Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) approach and is organized into two tracks: "International mobility" and "Research". The challenge consists of analyzing these implications and defining an effective medium- to long-term strategy (5–10 years) that enables universities to respond successfully to these urgent challenges while remaining sustainable and resilient in the future. The programme also includes a Study Abroad Fair and networking and cultural activities in Trento and the surrounding areas. The programme is open to administrative and technical staff working in international relations and mobility and research support and management. Please note: this activity is open only to university staff members.
