The establishment of a virtual Travel Agency serves as a dynamic platform for individuals to gain practical insight into the multifaceted world of tourism. By immersing themselves in simulated environments and embracing innovative approaches, participants emerge equipped with the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary to thrive in an ever-evolving industry landscape. This learning opportunity, conducted by the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Lodz University of Technology, enables students to take part in remote synchronous and asynchronous classes. Students will get an opportunity to learn in a realistic environment with hands-on practice on problem solving skills, for which they will receive a certificate of participation, 6 ECTS credits, and a computer simulation certification from a partner company - REVAS.
During the challenge, students will be introduced to various active learning and teaching methods, Miro, Wikamp Port (Lodz University of Technology computer platform), and the specifics of computer simulations. They will cooperate in project teams comprising around 3/4/5 people. The challenge ends with final presentations of the achieved outcomes. Impact is placed on communication, feedback, peer learning, and self-development.
This challenge is aimed at students of business faculties, those interested in the topic of company management and synchronous/asynchronous learning through computer simulations.
