Micro and Nano-fabrication tools for innovating applied electronics and fundamental research
Closed for application

Description

Micro and Nano technologies are nowadays “Key Enabling Technologies” for innovating applied science (electronics, high sensitivity sensors, energy harvesting and storage, photonics, quantum technology…) and fundamental research in numerous experimental fields (physics, chemistry, electronics, photonics, …). This micro-module will provide you with all the theoretical knowledge needed for micro and nano fabrication and characterization. Key topics will include microelectronics, solar cell, micro-super condensator, gas sensor, and 2D material-based devices. If you will attend the MINATO summer school at INSA Toulouse, you are required to take this micro-module as preparation. However, you can also take this micro-module as a standalone course if you do not intend to attend the summer school.

Information

This micromodule is directly linked to the MINATO Summer School, taking place in Toulouse in summer 2024, which will introduce you to micro and nano fabrication techniques with a hands-on interdisciplinary approach that alternates basic lectures with experimental activities. The micromodule will thus develop knowledge of all the concepts needed for the Summer School: https://www.aime-toulouse.fr/summer-school-minato/ during which you will participate in the micro and nano fabrication and characterization of your own functioning device using clean room facilities. Key topics will be microelectronics, solar cells, micro-super condensators, gas sensors, and 2D material-based devices.
