Every country faces unique road safety challenges, and the need for innovative, data-driven solutions has never been greater. In this challenge you will work in a small international team to design a realistic and sustainable National Road Safety Programme (NRSP) for a selected country, with a strong focus on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS).
You’ll begin by analysing accident data and identifying key safety issues in your chosen country. Drawing inspiration from Sweden’s Vision Zero and your own national experiences, you will propose ITS solutions to reduce accidents and fatalities over the next 10 years.
The challenge includes expert lectures, real-world insights from Trafikverket (Swedish Transport Administration), and collaborative group work. You’ll present your final proposal in a seminar and act as peer reviewers for another team’s project.
