Basics of Machinery Mechanics

Basics of Machinery Mechanics

Systemized summary about the motion of machines and their parts, the way how motion is transmitted inside a machine.
Open for application

Description

You can see that machines or their parts do different and complicated motions. This micro-module will help you to understand basic principles of how motion is generated and transmitted within a machine, what means can help to change the way machine parts move, what motion parameters are, and how to get the necessary motion parameters.

Information

What all machines have in common is that they all perform mechanical movements.

The micro-module provides an understanding of what parts are necessary and how they should be joined to make them move in the desired manner. If we are concerned about the mobility of a machine and the variety of motions it performs, we see the core components of it, the mechanisms.

The micro-module presents an overview of the main types of mechanisms used in machinery, their kinematical and load capacity properties. Special focus is made on gear mechanisms, developing abilities of calculating the necessary power to get the desired motion under loads caused by it, selecting the mechanism structure, and performing analysis of motion parameters.
